Nooka watches were born out of the revolutionary ideas of multi-discipline artist and designer, Matthew Waldman. Nooka, an ancient word simply meaning, ‘future is now’ and these watches are certainly futuristic in design and function.

Waldman’s thought process revolved around producing different options when viewing time display and eventually the designs evolved into the linear graphic representation that can be seen.

The new visual paradigm may take some getting used to, but once mastered, we may see this abstract concept more often, could this be the end for the analogue and digital displays!? I don’t think that will ever happen, but adding new ways to view time will allow the watch industry to keep up with the ever expanding worlds of fashion and design.
